Los simposios ecol\u00f3gicos, los di\u00e1logos intercristianos e interreligiosos sobre este tema, las recomendaciones concretas de la Gran Iglesia acerca de asuntos medioambientales, el hincapi\u00e9 en las dimensiones y las consecuencias sociales de la crisis ecol\u00f3gica y otros esfuerzos similares constituyen un prop\u00f3sito medioambiental s\u00f3lido que pone el acento en la necesidad imperiosa de un \u201cgiro copernicano\u201d en nuestra concepci\u00f3n de la idea de progreso y en la actitud de la humanidad hacia la naturaleza, as\u00ed como en las acciones de todos los que est\u00e1n implicados en la vida pol\u00edtica, econ\u00f3mica y social, de las Iglesias y de las religiones, de la ciencia y la tecnolog\u00eda, y de los responsables de la educaci\u00f3n de las j\u00f3venes generaciones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">Seguiremos promoviendo de palabra y obra la visi\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica de la Gran Iglesia de Cristo y el dinamismo ecol\u00f3gico de mantener una relaci\u00f3n eucar\u00edstica, asc\u00e9tica y doxol\u00f3gica con la creaci\u00f3n, subrayando siempre que es necesario llevar a cabo un cuidadoso trabajo teol\u00f3gico para aclarar el aut\u00e9ntico mensaje ecol\u00f3gico de nuestra fe y tradici\u00f3n ortodoxas en beneficio de la creaci\u00f3n, que es \u201cmuy buena\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">Estamos convencidos de que subrayar las dimensiones religiosas y \u00e9ticas de la amenaza medioambiental producir\u00e1 una mayor conciencia de la importancia fundamental de la \u201cresponsabilidad ecol\u00f3gica\u201d. La humanidad debe de una vez dejar de actuar como si no supiera lo que est\u00e1 ocurriendo y desechar para siempre el enga\u00f1o de que el planeta Tierra&nbsp;&nbsp;puede soportar indefinidamente las cargas y la destrucci\u00f3n causadas por la actividad humana y de que la naturaleza tiene la capacidad de renovarse por s\u00ed sola. La responsabilidad de la protecci\u00f3n del medio natural debe manifestarse a nivel mundial, nacional, local y personal. Reiteramos una vez m\u00e1s que el cultivo de la responsabilidad ecol\u00f3gica es un \u201cimperativo categ\u00f3rico\u201d para la humanidad, que se enfrenta a la mayor amenaza de toda su historia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">Est\u00e1 meridianamente claro que, mientras el modelo antropol\u00f3gico dominante sea el del \u201crico insensato\u201d del Evangelio seg\u00fan Lucas (Lc 12,17-21), que declaraba: \u201c<\/span><span lang=\"ES\">Har<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">lo siguiente: derribar<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">los graneros y construir<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">otros m<\/span><span lang=\"ES\">\u00e1<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">s grandes, y almacenar<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"ES\">all\u00ed&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">todo el trigo y mis bienes. Y entonces me dir<\/span><span lang=\"FR\">\u00e9&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"ES\">a m\u00ed&nbsp;<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">mismo: alma m<\/span><span lang=\"ES\">\u00ed<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">a, tienes bienes almacenados para muchos a\u00f1os; descansa, come, bebe, banquetea alegremente\u201d, la humanidad seguir\u00e1 socavando su futuro y aniquilando su propio \u201chogar\u201d. Los \u201cpecados de la modernidad\u201d han creado -y siguen creando- nuevas divisiones y rupturas entre la humanidad y la naturaleza. El \u201chombre-dios\u201d contempor\u00e1neo insiste en practicar un \u201cgeocidio\u201d al rechazar cualquier mesura o l\u00edmites en nombre de los designios geopol\u00edticos y los intereses econ\u00f3micos, del consumismo y de la satisfacci\u00f3n de necesidades esencialmente insaciables, provocando al mismo tiempo -y a un nivel m\u00e1s profundo- el derrumbe de la experiencia vivida y los valores interiores. Las consecuencias del dominio mundial del deseo de manipular, instrumentalizar y explotar la naturaleza demostrar\u00e1n ser tr\u00e1gicas para la vida en nuestro planeta.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">La aceptaci\u00f3n cada vez mayor y el establecimiento oficial del 1 de septiembre como D\u00eda para la Protecci\u00f3n del Medio Ambiente en todo el mundo cristiano reviste hoy una importancia particular como s\u00edmbolo y hecho concreto en la promoci\u00f3n de la unidad de los cristianos; es m\u00e1s, la glorificaci\u00f3n del \u201cHacedor de toda la Creaci\u00f3n\u201d al comienzo de la Indicci\u00f3n en nuestra tradici\u00f3n lit\u00fargica constituye un patrimonio precioso como invitaci\u00f3n y exhortaci\u00f3n al respeto de la creaci\u00f3n, que sufre las consecuencias de un ataque indecoroso causado por el ser humano.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">Honorabil\u00edsimos Hermanos y queridos hijos:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">El respeto de los pilares fundamentales de la civilizaci<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica puede limitar las tendencias destructivas del medio ambiente y abrir paso al \u201c\u00fanico camino ecol\u00f3gico posible\u201d: el del desarrollo sostenible. De un modo m\u00e1s general, la humanidad necesita alcanzar un acuerdo acerca de cu\u00e1les deben ser los valores comunes fundamentales que, en un mundo marcado por el conflicto y la polarizaci\u00f3n, sirvan de br\u00fajula para el camino que tenemos por delante. Consideramos que el principio de solidaridad es el eje central de dichos valores: la solidaridad como fuente de responsabilidad com\u00fan, di\u00e1logo y reciprocidad sincera, junto con una responsabilidad colectiva de la protecci\u00f3n del medio natural. El respeto en la pr\u00e1ctica de la sacralidad de la persona humana y el cuidado de la integridad de la creaci\u00f3n son, desde el punto de vista cristiano, manifestaciones vitales de la realizaci\u00f3n eucar\u00edstica de la Iglesia y de la llamada del ser humano a convertirse en \u201csacerdote\u201d de la creaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Cuerpo\"><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">En este esp<\/span><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">\u00edritu, oramos por que el nuevo a\u00f1o eclesi\u00e1stico sea propicio y fruct\u00edfero en buenas obras agradables a Dios, e invocamos sobre todos vosotros, por la intercesi\u00f3n y mediaci\u00f3n de la Sant\u00edsima Madre de Dios \u201cPammak\u00e1ristos\u201d, cuyo sacrat\u00edsimo icono custodiamos con reverencia en la Venerable Iglesia Patriarcal y abrazamos \u201ccon nuestros labios, coraz\u00f3n y mente\u201d, la gracia y la misericordia de nuestro Dios y Salvador Jesucristo, cuyo Sant\u00edsimo Nombre sea bendito y glorificado, ahora y siempre y por los siglos de los siglos.
